Welcome

We are a peer support group providing hope and encouragement to stroke survivors in the Peterborough region of central Ontario

COVID-19 Notice

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all March of Dimes Canada (MODC) in-person community-based outreach programs and all other MODC in-person programs are temporarily suspended until further notice.

March of Dimes Canada's After Stroke team is now implementing virtual programs and service and reaching out to provide information and support.

Despite a time of social distancing we encourage you to stay connected via our After Stroke website and our MODC FaceBook page.

Three people, smiling and linking arms, stand on a sidewalk and look down, as if to step into the street. In the background, posters of soccer players are visible.
Activities

We currently meet on the 4th Wednesday of every month via Zoom due to pandemic restrictions. Our activities typically include sharing information and personal experiences, providing mutual support, and enjoying time with friends who understand life after stroke!

Resources

We have a non-exhaustive list of resources that provide information, encouragement, and support to assist with integration back into society post-stroke.

Support Us

We are grateful for the support we have received from March of Dimes Canada in our quest to cope with the ongoing effects of stroke. To show our appreciation, we participate in their annual fundraising campaigns. The next campaign will begin in winter 2022, so please check back to learn more about how to donate. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
