Support Us

"The march of dimes" began in 1949 when housewives from across Canada and the United States went door to door in their own neighbourhoods seeking donations of spare change - quite literally a dime in many cases - to help in the fight to defeat polio.

That effort ultimately proved successful and Canada became the first country in the world to be declared polio free. From such humble beginnings, March of Dimes Canada was born. Today, this charitable organization provides assistance to many of the more than 4 million Canadians living with a disability, including thousands of stroke survivors.

We are grateful for the support we have received from March of Dimes Canada in our quest to cope with the ongoing effects of stroke. To show our appreciation, we are participating in their annual Door To Door Online campaign. Please click here, or on the badge below, to reach our Team Page and, in the spirit of the original grass roots crusade, take a moment to donate whatever you can spare to help this worthy organization continue its excellent work. Simply click the green "Donate Now" button on the right hand side of the page and follow the easy directions to make a donation with your credit card. Donations of $10 or more will receive an income tax receipt and a portion of the funds raised by our Team will go toward our never ending work to support stroke survivors in Peterborough and vicinity.

Thank you. Your generosity will make a meaningful difference to many people in need throughout the greater Peterborough area and right across Canada.
